E-DRUG: HAI Europe Vacancy- European Project Officer------------------------------------------------- Health Action International (HAI) is a non-profit, independent, globalnetwork of over 200 consumer groups, public interest NGOs, healthcareproviders, academics and individuals in more than 70 countries,operating from four regional offices (Amsterdam, Colombo, Lima andNairobi) and a global secretariat (Amsterdam). HAI promotes increasedaccess to essential medicines and their rational use, through researchexcellence and evidence-based advocacy, and works towards a world whereall people, especially the poor and disadvantaged, are able to exercisetheir human right to health.HAI's regional office for Europe - HAI Europe - is widely recognised forits expertise and credibility and its ability to draw upon the input andactivism of the office, members and partners across Europe. Its role isto trigger action, to serve as a multiplier, to mobilise and coordinate.It operates through research, policy analysis in pharmaceuticals andinformation sharing, capacity-building, and by acting as a watchdog, andmonitoring governments, intergovernmental organisations andPublic-private partnerships.HAI Europe is in a position to offer a 12-month fixed-term contract fora Project Officer commencing on 1 February 2009. The remunerationpackage includes a competitive salary, pension scheme and additionalbenefits as appropriate.
