DREAMS - The Movie (synopsis)

Everyone has a dream…few people live it…CATCH this Dream!

What do you do when you are the only person who believes in yourself? What do you do when you are running out of time and money? Bach IS such a person and his wife, Sandy, who has been supporting him and their 13 year-old daughter has run out of patience, passion and peace, like yesterday. Why? is looking for a guitar when he should be looking for a job! Welcome to the life of an artist living on the edge in pursuit of an elusive dream.

Part fairy tale, part reality check, "Dreams", the new screenplay by Roy

, portrays the struggles of the Bach family played out against a

backdrop of original and known music mixed with poignant drama and comedy. A roller coaster ride of mischief and mixed emotions.

battles Goliath on multiple fronts. Are we him? We may all have THIS dream as we may all have been destined to express our humanity, BUT…no one ever told us! Some like , have to find out the hard way. What may have been lurking inside all along but forgotten, and what may be outside waiting for us to catch up to, certainly is to be experienced and within reach of all of our "Dreams". DREAMS - The Mission

DREAMS aids both the U.S. Economy (Obama's Startup America effort) AND may bridge the gap between ALL nations, providing peace and contentment for global citizens of all ages!

In April, 2011, leading crowd-funding site IndieGoGo joined Microsoft, Google, American Express, additional corporate heavyweights, universities, foundations and corporations in a White House-backed effort to boost business growth and drive the nation's economic recovery.

Dubbed Startup America, it is President Obama's initiative to catalyze entrepreneurship through facilitating access to capital, creating mentorships, and reducing barriers to innovation. On July 25, 2011, Roy

and his team at Logos Solaris Entertainment, joined the IndieGoGo team to facilitate crowdsourcing for initial development capital funds for DREAMS, the movie.

The DREAMS movie itself may very well bridge the gap between ALL nations

providing peace and contentment for their citizens of all ages! To understand this BOLD statement, one has to have read the synopsis about the lead character and how he overcomes objections and forces preventing

him in discovering who he is and what he is all about. The root of all

of our problems reside in the inability of "self" discovery.

As a Development Executive Ambassador, YOU have the opportunity of aiding the development and eventual production of a fun enriching experience (DREAMS) for global audiences during these trying times. DREAMS - The Video

Why I chose this scene from the Dreams screenplay to video and place on the IndieGoGo profile.

I wanted to test the screenplay and shot this in a few hours using stand

in actors, a non-professional crew and a prosumer video camera. Bare bones. I chose this particular scene as I believe it may be the hardest scene to direct from the screenplay as it is an emotional pivotal scene between husband and wife. He's the starving artist – a recording artist

who's still searching for his elusive break. She's the bread winner of the family and is quite tired of this responsibility. Conflict.

However, love prevails and in this pivotal scene, She now comes to his side in support of his dreams to become a recognized and appreciated Recording Artist/Performer. Up until this point she was not supportive of him, perhaps envious, even jealous as her own ego response to him was

a thorny reminder of her own failed ambitions. Perhaps she resents that she may have sold out for a corporate attorney position and she's in her own trap and wants out.

Note in the beginning of the scene they are separated by what she has perceived is the obstacle between them – his music itself. At scenes conclusion, she crossed the barrier and rejoins him, literally on top of

him – fuzed. They still may have some obstacles in front of them and we

are 3/4 into the story, but now, anything is possible as the love is renewed!

I believe this "rags to riches" story, a dramedy, will be fun for all ages on a global basis and possibly give us that little push we sometimes need to jumpstart our own dream whether it be in the arts or not, kinda like "Rocky meets Rock 'N Roll". Our mission IS who we are!
