Guest guest
Hello Dr Mangesh, Thank you for your kind words. The information in the former post was just basic introduction to MABs which may be well known. MABs is considered to be magic bullets, targeting the link in pathophysiology of the disease. So it should have created wonders in the therapeutics due to its specification. But current scenario is not that positive for MAB status in perticular disease treatment. What can be the hindering factors in the "Therapeutic utility of Monoclonal antibodies"? Cost, Immunogenecity of MAB, ADR profile or multifactorial pathophysiology of disease, Targetting weaker link of the disease...........may be more. How can these be handled? http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/olc/dl/120110/micro43.swf Just click on URL. Its nice way to explain MAB production. Regards, Dr Smita Mali, GMC, Nagpur.
