Guest guest
Dear friends, Schools on Alternative Medicine are running at many centers in India. One such is in Kolkata. Many Indians are undergoing those courses (one of my cousins is also doing this). May I know what all subjects/topics are covered in those schools? Guest guest
Those schools of Alternative MEdicine are all bogus. In India, there is no such recognized term as Alternative MEdicine. A system called Alternative System of Medicine is not approved/exist in India. The only recognized systems in India are : The Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) was established as Department of Indian Systems of Medicines and Homoeopathy (ISM & H) in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in March, 1995 and was renamed as Department of AYUSH in November, 2003. http://indianmedicine.nic.in/index.asp - This is the website. A lot of advertisements for these unrecognized " AM " degrees comes is newspapers, magazines, health magazines - you send Rs. 1000, you get some study notes, some question papers. After few months you get a question paper which you can answer at home and send. You pay some money for your certificate/degreee - and you are a DOCTOR ! Most Quacks use these degrees and flourish...... Raj VAidya On 2/13/08, anupama sukhlecha <anupama_acad@...> wrote: Dear friends, Schools on Alternative Medicine are running at many centers in India. Guest guest
Hi, I agree with Raj that except the systems recognised ny AYUSH all others in different names are bogus schools who only churn out more quacks for a price. I also would like to share the information that some of these bogus schools/colleges advertise in media and claim recognition from some nondescript, unheard of organisations. One such school is also located in my city. How they are allowed to continue is anybody's guess. Guest guest
Hi Anupama, Can anyone beat that, i 'll be surprised! Anupama has done it again, many thanks. But HIV/AIDS cure is missing, and also hernia! Such bogus claims abound here in Nigeria too and i guess it cuts across all the southern countries of the World. I am of the opinion that in an open and controlled practice of TM such counterfeiting will abate, what do fellows think?
