Guest guest
Hi, In our hospital (Govt of Maharashtra owned) medical stores we are duty bound to purchase the medicines from the list of suppliers determined by the Government on tender system. Only when they fail to supply, we can procure the medicines from Govt firms, other rate contracts like ESIS, BMC (Bombay Municipal Corporation). It is compulsory for the Govt RC suppliers to attach a quality certificate with every supply and that is all about the quality. In case of quality complaint from the users, we supply them with FDA complaint form and report to the State FDA local office. Then it is their responsibility. On receipt of our complaint the FDA collects samples of the medicine from our stock and sends for the quality analysis. In case of quality complaint we also circulate " stop use " notification to other hospitals under State Govt and initiate " medicine recall procedure " to get back unused stock which has been distributed. We also inform the supplier and the manufacturer about the complaint received and wait for the FDA test report. The stock is held up till arrival of test report. If the report is adverse then stock is returned to the supplier and in excahnge new batch obtained in replacement. Madam Kunda Gharpure is requested to add if I have missed any point in the procedure followed by us.
