Guest guest
" I can still remember my first meditation class, " begins . " We were in Thailand, sitting in the middle of lush green forest in a mosquito tent. After an hour of sitting, the teacher said `And now it's time to return to consciousness' and I thought, but I didn't even leave! " Like , many people find meditation difficult. There are so many assumptions about what it involves, how to do it, and how to do it well that many people don't even bother to attempt it. Modern medical technology shows how meditation changes your brain. MRI scans of monks who regularly meditate reveals parts of their brain become bigger. Other people who meditate talk about reduced stress levels, better sleep and greater ability to cope with life's up and downs. Steve had practiced meditation for many years and knew the positive effect it had on his life. He'd tried to interest his sister in meditation but she believed his version was `too deep'. When he came across an entry-level technique known as the Peaceful Place System, he suggested it. To his surprise and delight, she enjoyed using this technique because it was simple and accessible. Rather than emptying your mind, you create a place in your mind that means calm to you. It could be a beach or your favorite chair, the idea is you associate calm in this place. The system is a solution to a series of problems – how to change, how to find peace of mind, how to cope with stress and worries and how to find clarity in a confusing world. For 10 minutes a day, you journey to a self-created place inside your mind where you are always at peace and relaxed. A `throw away tool' allows you to let go thoughts you don't want or that upset your peace of mind. It offers the easiest way to an improved quality of life and relationships. " It changes people from the inside, " begins ce Toltz. " I've long been fascinated by the issue of what holds people back from achieving some of their goals. The Peaceful Place System – with its combination of stress release, achieving peace of mind and four step goal setting technique, helps people break through their limitations and motivates them to do what needs to be done to meet their needs. " If you want to experience the benefits of meditation but find other techniques a bit challenging, this could be the perfect entry-level technique. It has been used by thousands of people in a range of life situations to feel calmer and more in control.
