Guest guest
A letter to a friend By Cortson © 2008 I am so happy that you are taking time for yourself and enjoying your life. JT is responsible for JT and that is something so powerful he may not understand it. Once he accepts 100% responsibility for himself, (which we all are by the way anyway) he will be able to take control of his THINKING. Our thinking is what drives us. He has to focus on being happy even in the tiniest way about everything he encounters. He has to be continuously grateful for having LIFE. The happier and better he feels about himself will start to change everything he does and how he thinks about things. Coming from happiness and gratefulness I didn't give up in 2003 and die. I still have my funeral arrangement in place since being told I was not going to see Halloween that year. I didn't fight. I resolved to be happy no matter how bad I hurt or how hopeless things appeared to be. I was truly grateful for all I had even though it wasn't much. I had a heartbeat left and that was reason enough to be filled with joy! Out of that resolve came peace, followed by comfort. The pain began to disappear as it wasn't in my thoughts. I physically started feeling better as the happiness that filled my body had no room for damaged cancer cells so the happiness washed them out and I was at ease rather than being in disease. Out of that people came to help me out of sheer joy to bring me along as they saw something there worth saving. And so it went. Heartbeat by heartbeat I live now. I CHOOSE happy because I am 100% responsible for what I think. I don't need stuff or pats on the head of approval to be happy. I look at all that is the universe and I am just amazed and overjoyed with all of it. THAT is where we all need to come from each morning we wake up. Why? Because there were plenty of people who didn't wake up and I wasn't one of them. So I realize I have a chance to be a positive force in the world. A single atom holds enormous amounts of energy and power. Our thoughts are even more powerful than that! Direct that power to good and happiness and you can change things simply by changing yourself. Ask yourself the most important question all day everyday; "What positive benefit am I getting out of doing this or thinking this way?" Even if we are stuck in traffic, get an unexpected situation or bad news, we can always CHOOSE to think about it in a positive way to bring about more positive energy around us. Smile! People need to smile and realize that each one of us is an absolute miracle, just as we are! Mike http://mikecortson.com
