Guest guest
Sorry guys. I gave the wrong info on the medicine I will be using next. It's called Infergen. It's used on patients who were treated before and relapsed or who were treated before and did not respond. It first became available in October 1997 and is the first bioengineered interferon for hep C. Doctors call it a consensus interferon, because it was designed by scientists using pieces of other interferons. Infergen is five times more active in laboratory tests than other interferons. This high activity has not been shown to affect response rates in patients treated with Infergen. Mind you, I got that info from the pamphlet! The initial upload is everyday for two months. From there, you either do the low dose everyday for the rest of the treatment or you do the high dose 3x a week. No pill taking with this treatment, which is a bonus. So anyone out there have a response to the questions I asked in my previous post????
