I think that many who sign onto a tantra site, do so because they think or hope that it will lead them to more or better sex. And I think that this site has only a trickle of responders because it has evolved to be more about consciousness, about wakefulness, than about sex. And there are far more people interested in sex than there are in consciousness. Sex appears on the surface to be easy, and full of delight. But scratch the surface just a little and the full spectrum of humanity's past comes roaring forward for clearing. As the song says, "You can run but you cannot hide." Not anymore. There's nowhere to go. Some people would wrap themselves up in a blanket of seeming Advaita safety. If I just say that I have no ego, maybe everyone will believe me and no one can hurt me anymore. Or, if I declare myself a tantra teacher then no one will notice that I feel so lost, separate and alone, and I'm afraid to show that so I'll teach, because I know how to teach. But really, whatever label we put on ourselves or path we align with, we still have to be present to our moment to moment truth or some part of us starves. And no one should have to starve anymore. But can we yet be emotionally naked with one another? Can we face what life would do to us in our radical vulnerability? No answers here. Only questions. All the structures are breaking down. It was predicted. Now all we can do is live the raw moment to moment truth of who we are. The good, the bad, and the ugly. In bed or out of bed. Yay life!!!
