Guest guest
Holly, As for counting the calories, first I got a little booklet at the grocery store listing most foods and the caloric value. Then I started to read labels and look carefully at what I buy. There it was in black and white, so much for an apple and so much for a piece of cheesecake! It has been a gradual transition for me to watch what I buy and what I eat. It was hard at first, but not it is almost second nature. One of my favorite snacks is frozen grapes. Next fall when grapes are in season, freeze some in a ziplock bag and see what you think. They seem to taste sweeter to me, frozen. As for what MDA pays for and what MDA does not seems to vary within members of this group, so I'd like to suggest you call your local MDA and ask them what services are provided and what is covered. ~ Gretchen
