Guest guest
Hello Everyone: Speaking of eggs, I will start feeding my daughter in about a month. Does anyone have any experience in feeding babies egg yolks. I am scepticle of feeing raw egg yolks. How about soft boiled yolks? Does anyone have any suggestions for a first food besides egg yolks? What about rice cereal? I would like someone to give me details from experience about first foods, how things worked out, and whether they can compare there experiences with other feeding experimentation they have done. Okay thanks Kareemah

Guest guest
Sorry, Kareemha that I don't have any direct experience, but, my boss has been feeding his baby a raw egg yolk every day for the past couple weeks, and his baby hasn't gotten sick from it. If the chickens aren't battery raised, the raw egg yolks are 100% safe. Unless the egg has been packaged for weeks already, the shell is airtight to fend off any invading bacteria. Any lesser degree of cooking is going to be best, if the eggs aren't runny, probably all of the enzymes and other important nutrients are destroyed, and I'm sure the baby would better digest it raw. Guest guest
I give my baby egg yolk. I soft boil the egg and give him only the soft yolk. I don't consider it raw. He loves it. He has been eating it regularly since he was 4 1/2 months old. He is 6 months. He is a good weight for his size. He has had no health poblems other than a minor cold. Giving babies soft boiled egg yolk is an age old tradition. My mom said everyone did it when I was a baby. She gave it to me also.
