They probably weren't in the habit of swallowing manufactured food supplements, either. But, if today's soils are depleted, and factory farmed veggies are nutritionally deficient, it's probably not a bad idea to supplement with the concentrated phytochemicals found in juiced greens. Let's face it, conditions today aren't anything like they were thousands of years ago. That modern technology allow us to squeeze juice from grass is not necessarily a bad thing.
