Guest guest
Hi Jen, My wife and I have just started on Special Process wheat germ oil. We take one capsule with each meal. It is supposed to be a good source of vitamin E. I found out that it pays to shop over the internet. One source listed the product at $15.95 and another $6! We are hoping to fight " free radicals " (my wife smokes), assist immune functions and help with cardiovascular health. Wheat germ oil is the richest natural source of vitamin E that I know of, but it's also highly polyunsaturated, and polyunsaturated fat depletes vitamin E stores. A better source of vitamin E is unrefined palm oil. It's also rich in carotenoids and tocotrienols (a component of vitamin E not found in significant quantities in most foods), and about 50% saturated. Tropical Traditions has some in stock again: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com -- Berg bberg@...
