Chase Hill Farm does cheddar wheels by mail order. Contact them at

www.chasehillfarm.com. When you buy raw cheese make sure to contact the

manufacturer and find out the maximum temperature the cheese reaches, as most

" raw " cheeses sold in stores are not really raw.

" What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a

heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and

animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of

them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense

compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to

bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature.

Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the

truth, and for those who do them wrong. "

I live in Oklahoma, so any cheese I get is going to have to be mail-

order. What grass-fed raw milk cheese can I get mail-order? I really

dont know where to start. I'm not really concerned about what type of

cheese it is (I don't care if it's gouda or cheddar or colby etc.). I

just want it to be made from raw milk from grass-fed cows, and I want

it as cheap as possible. Can anyone help me out?

Meadow Creek Dairy is my favorite,

http://www.meadowcreekdairy.com, the milk for all their cheese

is kept raw, except the Mountaineer variety which I think they said

was heated to something like 117 degrees F.

The Swiss Connection is also very good, no website but you can

contact them at ayegerl@... or 812-939-2813. They have

both raw and pasteurized varieties, and also have wonderful

grassfed butter (not raw), plain or cultured.

Both use milk from their own herds of grassfed cows, no grain,

Meadow Creek is an all-Jersey herd I believe, and The Swiss

Connection is a mixed herd.

I don't suppose you would be willing to tell.....Which place has the

cheapest cheese? And how much the butter costs from The Swiss

Connection?
