Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am new here and want to say hello! I have followed Weston Price for a good while now, and have the Nourishing Traditions cookbook. I like to share ideas on how to make this lifestyle workable. I find it hard to work, support a SAD husband, eat traditional myself, and have low energy due to some health issues. I'm hoping to get motivated a bit more, too! I am completely sold on this way of eating, but feel like the salmon swimming upstream and it's hard sometimes. I'm hoping to get tips! I've read through some your posts, and would like to add a thought of mine. I once heard a diet book described in this way: the author's basic concept is to eat only what God made as close to the way God made it as possible. I find this advice so helpful when considering whether or not to eat something. I ask myself - how close is this food to its original form? If it's too far off, I usually skip it. How much processing did it have to have to get this far? Other than the fermentation, soaking, and marinating recommended, I would like to get to the point of eating pretty much completely unprocessed food. I really look forward to " meeting " you and learning from you! Judy
