Guest guest
I must of learned of NT to late, as our new born was born with subtle hypospadias. I've read articles since learning about it that link it to a vegetarian diet. I was a raw vegan prior to this pregnancy and learned of NT a month after conception and began to make changes in the months following. I'm still working on my NT-style diet. However, the time in which the penis would have been developing was when I was just reading NT and hadn't changed my diet to much yet. I never ate soy products, so the links to soy don't apply to me. However, I was told I was estrogen dominate prior to my knowing I was pregnant. From the articles I've read I would relate this to the pesticides sprayed on our food sources. I haven't always been able to locate organic in our area, so I only got it when I could find it or grow it ourselves. Obviously, eating a more NT-style diet through out the rest of my pregnancy was successful though. Seth was 9 lbs. 10 oz. at birth and was so big that he got stuck and had to be born via c-section. He's the biggest baby I've ever had out of six kids. He was overdue and I was told the bones in the back of his head were already starting to solidify. His head was 13 3/4 " and he was in a posterior position. I had an anterior lip that wouldn't go away and my cervix started to swell, so after reaching almost full dilation at home we transported to the hospital. The doctor couldn't turn him he was so stuck, so I ended up delivering him by (my first) c-section. Sadly, another reason not to be vegetarian/vegan, I only wish I had known of NT and Weston A. Guest guest
Both of my children, now 3 and 11 months, were born at home. I gave birth with ease, and both of them were healthy and especially my daughter, chubby! I relate this also to my nutrition, which was rich in good fats and protein. It seems to me that midwives seem to emphasise good nutrition during pregnancy and nursing!
Guest guest
Bless your heart! I had my first (only) child at 40...at least 10 years after learning of Dr. Price's work and switching to butter at least 10 years before conception. She weighed 9 lbs. 3-1/2 oz. and I tell people she looked like she was 3 months old when she was born! I had a C-section, too. Somewhere I read that pushing for over about an hour can cause brain damage to the child...so I'm perfectly OK with what we did! As I remember, didn't Dr. Price talk like both the mother and father should have plenty of vitamins A and D in their diet before conception? I wonder how long it would take for someone who had previously eaten a vegan diet to turn things around...? I seem to remember that 3 years between children was the recommended minimum. Perhaps it would take 3 years. > I must of learned of NT to late, as our new born was born with subtle > hypospadias. I've read articles since learning about it that link it to > a vegetarian diet.
