Guest guest
I sent this out yesterday, but for some reason it was returned to me. Robin ----------------------------------------------------- I just had a baby on Nov. 6th by c-section. I've been nursing Seth, but he is a big boy and isn't satisfied with me nursing him exclusively. We've found if we give him a bottle or two in the evening/night he sleeps better and we can keep our sanity. I've been using the mead low-iron formula that is recommended in NT w/ cod liver oil added to it. I would like to make my own infant formula, but the recipe is to much for what we would use at a time. Can it be frozen and thawed out prior to use if I make the amount the recipe calls for? Has anyone ever figured out what it costs per bottle to make it yourself? I can see the initial expense will be high and then I have the problem of finding a good near by milk source.
