Guest guest
I'm becoming convinced I might be able to benefit from raw eggs even though my immune system isn't so strong right now. I've got a few questions: 1. Does anyone know if people who have egg allergies are able to tolerate raw eggs? (like some people who have dairy allergies, but can tolerate raw milk) 2. Any suggestions for preparing raw eggs other than in a dairy-type smoothie? The only dairy I'm able to tolerate at all is a little raw goat's milk kefir and my raw goat milk is unavailable until March. 3. As for smoothies, didn't someone recently say that it's not good to put them in a blender -- that that changes the protein somehow? Do you smoothie makers use blenders, or just whisk it in? Thanks,
Guest guest
, Dr. Mercola recently wrote an article about raw eggs that you might find useful (http://www.mercola.com/2002/nov/13/eggs.htm). Regarding egg allergies, my wife can't tolerate more than one cooked egg, and it has to be organic, or she becomes nauseated. She is able to eat as many raw eggs as she likes (so far up to 3 in one sitting). My wife prefers to blend them into her smoothies, but I just eat them " Rocky Balboa style, " and swig them down in one or two gulps. The egg white tastes slightly salty, and the texture isn't bad, and the yolks taste of vanilla (I didn't think they would, but it's true). I still take a long pause before eating them this way--I guess it takes a while to overcome decades of anti-raw egg propaganda. Be sure to buy organic, free-range eggs to decrease the chance of salmonella infection. Good luck! DJ
Guest guest
Hi , I think your immune system will benefit from raw eggs, because of them, not despite them. I was having chronic infections that I could only stop with large amounts of coconut oil, but when I started including more raw eggs and raw meat, this problem went away. Really, it was the raw meat that did it, but I think that raw eggs would have a similar effect to a lesser degree. Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. Sometimes I eat the white too. I think I might start eating the half of the whites, and cooking half, since I eat so many eggs that the yolks I eat should supply plenty of biotin to compensate for the avadin in, say, half of the whites. Guest guest
When you eat raw eggs, are you eating the whole egg or just the yolks? Guest guest
***actually, unless you are eating more than 20 eggs a day, you should have no problem with egg whites. Even then I'm not sure it is a problem, but I will defer to what *seems* to be an okay study on the subject.
