My boss developed type 2 Diabetes as a result of Prilosec. Prevacid is a little better - with much less side effects. I was taking that for a while - but, since starting this way of eating, I haven't needed ANY. (Making lunch the biggest meal of the day helps too). Anyway - just wanted to say hello. Congratulations with your recovery as well. Margo
Guest guest
Hello, I'm the child of a type O mother and a type A father. I have an underactive thyroid which runs on my mother's mostly Native American side(with Irish and runaway slave ancestry).I have 2 type A sisters one with and under active and one with an over active thyroid and a type O sister who also has hypothyroidism.Out of the 4 of us only the type Os are trying to follow the diet, but we have a lot of A tendancies too.I can tolerate wheat in small amounts but not dairy, corn or potatos and apple juice doesn't bother me,and I do still have the very rare porkchop but only from animals I've raised.Go slowly and find each of your personal niches . My dad 's mother is also typeO and of Native American heiritage, his dad is the only type A in his family but as I've found out here that means that it's only a recessive unexpressed gene with my great-grandparents. I've had a hard time finding all of this tuff out but it's given me a lot of insight for my children and things to watch for. Welcome to the chat, a Delano
