Guest guest
A medical reference librarian at a hospital told me that they get dozens of telephone calls for medical school rankings and that these are the only rankings as of 2011. So this has got to be close to the standards that the hospitals and other medical employers use when they interview and hire. The 1910 Flexner report cited s Hopkins as being the top medical school and then listed Harvard and Michigan and Case Western Reserve as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flexner_Report This is important because it gives some depth to the below selection: US News and World Report 2011 ranks the Best Medical Schools as: 1. Harvard U 2. University of Pennsylvania 3. s Hopkins U in Baltimore 4. Washington University in St. Louis 5. Yale U tied for 5th place with Duke U. and Stanford U and UCSF 9. University of Washington in Seattle 10. Michigan tied with Columbia U for tenth place. 12. University of Chigago 13. UCLA 14. University of Pittsburg 15. Vanderbilt tied UC San Diego 17. Cornell ... 22. Case Western Reserve tied University of Virginia... 30. NY University tied U Alabama at Birmingham... 38. University of land at Baltimore 45. town University tied Miami and U Florida at Gainesville 60. Washington U 66. Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences tied U of South Florida in Tampa. The list goes on. http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-medi\ cal-schools/research-rankings
