Guest guest
I got some from Futurebiotics collodial minerals, I have had them now a week, I don't really notice a difference?? I think I'm just going to have to accept that my body will not lose any more weight, although I am not " overweight " I am 15lbs heavier than I was 3 years ago, and I'm only 27, what's it going to be like when I'm 57!!! I think I'm going to order my secretor test soon. maybe that will explain some things. My hardest thing right now is finding enough variety and ideas to plan my meals, menus for the week. Any one out there like to give me a detail week of what you eat? -Amy >From: " Kalab " Reply- Subject: RE: > Amy - how'd you go? Guest guest
Would I get a multi, or individual? Which are the best? Calcium & Mag (1:2), right, and what else? Iron? I would think with beef we get tons. I will look for them my next shopping trip, probably on Mon. I've pretty much always taken a multi-mineral tab with a calcium on the side. Guest guest
Have you had your thyroid checked? I would try that. Make sure you go to a good doctor that check all levels of all the incarnations of the thyroid hormone. If you tell me where you live, I can probably give you the name of a good doc. Try taking Deflect O 2 caps, 3X daily with meals and Fucus Plus 1 cap, 3X daily with meals. After 1 month, you can discontinue the Deflect (use when you cheat from then on), but the Fucus can be continued for a year or more. I have found that this regimen is highly beneficial for weight loss in O's (I lost over 50lbs.). Also, definitely check secretor status. That can make a huge difference. Guest guest
If you've only been on them a week, I wouldn't give up hope. It took me 2 -3 weeks before I noticed a difference. I think with a lot of supplements, you especially notice the difference if you STOP taking them! Smiles, RE: Amy - how'd you go? Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestions. First off I had my thyroid checked in October about a month before I started ER. It came back " fine " I don't know exactly which hormones they were looking at. The original reason they wnted to check it is because my thyroid felt like it had an irregular nodule on it. So I saw an endocrinologist, who felt it, but said it was too small to do a biopsy, so he wanted to see me in three months. I called the Dr. to check into the specific hormones, and she is on Maternity leave, and her nurse is supposed to call me back.... I live in Boulder, CO. I would consider seeing another DR. if it was not too costly. I have been taking 's Stomach Ease for about 2 months. Have thought about getting the Deflect. I don't know my secretor status but would really like too, perhaps I am a nonnie. I have gone from eating 6 servings of grains/starches to about 1-2. And buying all these supplements and tests is not going over well with my husband, because he doesn't believe in BTD, (he's an A loves Prime Rib and does IronMan triathlon, complete opposite of what A is " supposed " to be)and since I have not lost any weight really in the last nearly 3 months that I have been doing this he does not see the point. I would have to say I eat about 40% HB, 40% Neutral, and 10-20% Avoid, mostly on the weekend when we go out to eat. I think my main problem is I don't have enough HB foods, how to plan, how to cook, snacks etc. and then I get really hungry and eat stuff I shouldn't. Exercise is not a problem, I figure I do about 12 hours a week of walking, yoga, weights, aerobics, running, or biking. Water is not a problem. I have not been drinking as much as I used to but I definately get in at least 96 oz. a day. How do you think stress plays into all this and weight, even with all the exercise? I have had MANY stressful events in the last 6 months. Oh woah, is me. I just want to lose 15 lbs!!! I guess I need to get my secretor test, fill my house with HB and try to ignore all the cookies, chips, cake, etc. that my husband lives on.... Thanks again for your help and suggestions - Amy >From: Darius Partovi <rpartovi@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Amy - how'd you go? >Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2002 13:07:10 -0600 > >Have you had your thyroid checked? Guest guest
Hi Amy, Yes, the Benificials will help with the weight loss, and it would probably help to cut the grains back even more. There are some O's who say they cut out all grains when they are trying to loose weight. Try to keep your husband's cookies and snacks out of your sight. That is the easiest way to keep from eating them. Also, make your fruits the ones that are lower in calories and carbohydrates. It sounds like you do exercise enough. Hope these will give you something to go on to loose that 15 lbs. Guest guest
Hi Amy-- I would suggest also taking the O formula probiotics. They'll help you resist the cookies-- they do for me anyway. Also, there are a few people on here who talk about resources around Austin and there's talk of Minneapolis-- so reading that you are in Boulder makes you and I the Colorado contingent. I live in Aurora but I commute to SUN Microsystems at Interlocken everyday. Are you using any artificial sweeteners? Like (god forbid) Nutrasweet? --- Amy ez <amyrmk@...> wrote: > Thanks for your suggestions. > > First off I had my thyroid checked in October about > a month before I started > ER. Guest guest
As I'm and Aussie and am unlikely to be able to get my hands on Deflect and Fucus Plus, Would you mind giving me an idea of what is in these products? Guest guest
The cravings died down substantially after 2 - 3 weeks. I agree with on the thyroid thing as I find that with myself, but I take Kelp for this - but take it in the morning as it gives you LOTS of energy then you can't sleep. Even though Chromium is in the colloidal, I often take some extra, to give me extra help with sugar cravings.
