My husband's is low also but his iron and folic acid is okay, meaning it's not from iron deficiency anemia. He talked with his doctor and he told him it was just from chronic illness. My husband had a small stroke a couple of years ago that left some damage to one hand and then also had a prostate problem that ended with surgery and his kidney blood values are just a tiny bit off.
