Guest guest
Are sulfa drugs ever used to treat arthritis? Adrienne was on Bactrim for a couple years due to kidney infections. Those years she felt SO good. She was young... 8, 9, until about 10 years old or so. She started her arthritis symptoms fully at age 12. However...she did have headaches from about age 6 and kidney infections from age 4. K Adrienne's Mom
Guest guest
Sulfasalazine uses sulfites in its formula. It is sort of the first designer drug formulated specifically for the disease processes it treats. I myself am allergic to sulfa drugs and the sulfites used in preserving fresh lettuce, etc. The stuff makes me ill immediately. I can't even walk into a restaurant where it is used. The rest of my family can't smell it or taste it, but I sure can. I often ask if the lettuce is diced on site or comes in ready-to-use form in bags. Sometime the silly people don't even know.
