Hi Group,

A few months ago some of us did an HB challenge. For

3 weeks we attempted to eat only Beneficial or Highly

Beneficial foods. I would like to do another

challenge. Would anyone like to join me? I was

thinking about doing it the first 3 weeks of March.

We helped each other with meal plans. Our freind,

Gaye, who is sick right now, and , were a lot of

help to all of us.

Good lamb is really hard to find in the south east.

I don't know... that sounds like a big commitment. Am I sure I'm up for it?

Can't I have a few neutrals? Can I lie about all those tempting, exciting

avoids I can't stop thinking about?!? What if telling myself " no " makes

another part of me (the dark side) say " yes! " even louder? Oh no! (oh yes!!)

I can't stand the conflict! Why did you have to write this?!? Couldn't you

be content posting a message such as this on the Ultimate ABO message board,

where it would be read voluntarily? Here you've just plopped it, unasked

for, right into my mailbox! Arrrrgh! What if I try to take on the HB

challenge (if I can muster the courage) and then I start feeling *really*

good and then I have to confront my emotional issues... those feelings of

low self-worth... " am I good enough for this? " , " do I deserve this? " , " what

would mother say?... "

Oh, I don't know! Can someone help me decide? Can someone post a link that

would help me reach the right decision? I mean, what exactly are the

benefits to creating all of these NEW RULES?!?

I was thinking of something along similar lines though... the upcoming

Easter holiday. You know, all of these disgusting holidays where the focus

seems to be on gorging on heaps of holiday theme candies... all that

stimulating nutrient-depleting spaztasterrific intoxicating refined sugar

and chocolates laced with dairy and corn sugars and wheat fillers!!! Oh....

yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy

ohmygodIwanttopukemygutsoutIfeelterriblewhydidIdothisIhatemyselfwhyamIsostup

idIwanttodie!!! In a way to combat this I was thinking those who agree to

the " Easter Challenge " can get a leg or three of lamb, and we'd promise to

cook them up (whole) and gnaw on them every single day until all the Easter

candies have been vanquished by the weak... It would work in several ways:

first, the leg of lamb is heavy, like 4-6 pounds and carrying it around

would contribute to the harder, more anaerobic exercise us Os do well with;

second, we can connect with our primal natures, carrying that big club of

meat, a bloody leg of lamb with us wherever we go would remind us of what we

really are, and the mundane losers would think twice before offering us

those disgusting Easter sweets; third, whenever we get hunger cravings we

just squat down and start gnawing on our lamb limb, thus easily staving off

the dreaded cravings for the avoids that surround us. Sound good? I like

lamb, becuase I remember that Christ was nicknamed " the lamb of God " , and if

everyone is so turned on about drinking his blood and eating his flesh,

well, why not eat a leg of lamb for the Easter days? I've heard that ham is

a traditional Easter meal, but there are many religions which pretend to

worship Christ; I remember lamb as being traditional for Easter (is that the

Greeks?). Well anyway, after the successful O has gnawed off all the

succulent lamb meat from the leg they can then protect themselves with the

bone, paleo style!

Your e-mail name is " lambchop " , so I know Kennedy will be glad

to join me. I have been thinking about getting a whole leg of lamb for some

time now... this feels right. I think on March 6th, when my beloved Whole

Farm Co-Op of rural Minnesota delivers my next grass-fed meat order that I

will be receiving a leg of lamb... slup slup! Who's with me?

Wow!! What did I start. LOL I love lamb. My very

most favorite meat. Yummy. I think I will get a leg

of lamb. Actually, Axel, my maiden name was lamb and

my nickname in high school was lambchop, so now you

know the whole story.

, count me in. I even have everyone (from the last

challenge) still listed on IM. I hope I manage to do better this

time. Last time, my body must have been detoxing because I felt

terrible the whole time.

Great!! Glad for the company. Gaye is already doing

it. She overdid it on her Hawaii vacation and is not

feeling very good. So she will be ahead of the rest

of us.

Count me in. I'm ready to try it again. I'll probably use a few more neutrals

this time, but mainly use beneficials.

Axel ,

I am with you I LOVE Lamb! It really does make perfect sense to have lamb for

Easter. I want to buy a whole lamb. My Dad used to raise kosher lambs so it was

mostly what I grew up eating. Yummy is right!!! It's hard to find any around

here and most people I know turn their nose up at it. But as I said it's my

favorite. I love a rack of lamb with a special rice dish my Mother always made.

I'll have to check the ingredients to see if it's an avoid. I love all of it !

Except for the oysters...

is that true - you have difficulties to get good lamb in the US ?

hey: I can get organic lambmeat in good supermarkets here ...

and I wanted to tell my new ER-group, that here in Zürich (Switzerland)

we have the first ER-restaurant, it's great - not expensive and really

good - even the bread they serve with the different HB with neutral

salads is homemade speltbread

love

I can't find it very often. Maybe it's the area where I live. Sheep are high

maintenance and I think that might be the reason. Other animals need minimal

care so most farmers here raise Steers etc. Sheep are really a lot like we are.

At least emotionally.

Joyce,

This small town farming area I live in in OK doesn't sell any meat they can't

get rid of in a hurry. If you ask about lamb, emu, buffalo, beefalo, beef heart,

brains, etc., you are answered that it won't sell in this area so they aren't

allowed to have it available to order. I might luck out when I finish my

Friendly beef ( we bottle fed a calf that always came to the gate for attention

and his bottle, and later for his snakes. He always came up to us when we went

in the field.) and get some grain fed organic meat from a rancher in Texas. He

may have other meats available.
