Guest guest
Hi, I joined this group a week or so ago. I was given a tentative Dx of Reiter's and am waiting to see a Rheumatologist. I have been disabled for 11 yrs. I have been chronically ill for 30 yrs. Some of the symptoms that are attributed to Reiter's I have had my entire life. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but it's been a long and dificult struggle. I've faced all of the stupid Dr's I've read about here. I've been repeatedly told that I'm a hypochondriac or worse. My wife told me I'm mentally ill and left on 3/14. We have 4 children that are devastated. I just started telling my family (siblings) today about the Reiter's. It's been a rough day with a lot of tears(mostly mine). I'm trying to gut it out the best I can. I've read the basics about Reiter's and have all of the symptoms. But I have so much more. Can Reiter's account for the following: - abnormal liver, pancreas and kidney tests, accompanied by severe pain in these organs. - heart murmur, irregular heartbeat and severe chest pain. - possible brain aneuyrism. The specialist says it is, the Radiologist says it's an unknown abnormality. It shows up on a magnetic resonance angiograph (MRA). - chronic occipital neuritis. - temporary loss of speech, hearing and vision. Not at the same time. -symptoms of Alzheimer's. Also, I'd like to see a Specialist in this Disease. Any recommendations in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore/Washington DC areas. Pittsburgh or Baltimore/Washington are the closest. I want to see someone who sees this on a daily basis. Thanks and God Bless. Sherm
