Guest guest
I have had my best results with a gastrointerologest with my Reiter's. Some of them seem to know more than the rhumatologests do. And they have known about it longer too. I wish these Doc's would get together and compare notes and studies. Look into some of the info from a gastro site. It may hold a bunch of info we haven't seen. Bye EFD, Oregon
Guest guest
EFD, I agree my gastroninterologist is way ahead of the Rhumatologest here with health. I am having to go through more in finding out at what degree of my stomache and my colon do I need the anti-tumor medications. TNF's such as the Remicaid. I will be going through some tests the 7th of August, I was looking at some old information on Thalidomide and Chron's. Granny or someone was talking about the drug and so I started to look it up, I do remember the bad rap it was given due to birth defects. But, that didn't mean it would not be a good medication for other things. This was way befor we thought of permination through to the baby. but now on women who are not child bearing ages and haveing IBD, needing it now. Chron's or any Bowel problems could this type of drug be used. I am going to ask my doctor about it due to the fact that the kind of polyps I have are the kind that go into cancer. Thanks to the ones who were talking about it and Bill, who they had missed so much due to the discussions of this drug. It also led me to find that some Spondylitis, and colon problems can lead to cancer of the tail bone (spine ) and the colon. This may be rare. On line it can be found at: http://www.uchospitals.edu/news/thalidomide.html Health and hope, Brie
Guest guest
Hi Holly, I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work. After reinfection to my body and cloths, I try to avoid spreading it to my apartment, by immediately microwaving my cloths and immediately taking a hot shower, sometimes with harsh soaps/etc. I also turn on the UV lights in the house. - requireshelp From: Holly <hollyjane11@...>bird mites@...Sent: Saturday, March 14, 2009 10:37:15 AMSubject: rs JS I wanted to ask about your parents. You said that they carry the mites with them, but dont feel them. I am wondering if you have a plan on how to deal with this, so that you dont get reinfected?Holly Canada Toolbar : Search from anywhere on the web and bookmark your favourite sites. Download it now! Guest guest
Requires... this is interesting to read. We try so hard to rid ourselves of this thing and when you get better, you pick it up from others that are unassuming? So do you think that there are carriers out there but they just don't know it? How do you know you're getting it from others as opposed to more coming out of your skin? Really curious. -k > > Hi Holly, > > I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work. Guest guest
If I walk past something and something HITs me, like whoa, you're not getting away kind of hit? Probably external. Under my clothes near the floor? Probably my own shed critters. Under my clothes higher up? Same, later in the day. Under my clothes or bitten through clothes on fallout locations such as chest, upper back, top of legs, forearms, probably my own sheds. I learned the hard way about sheds when I wore sandals, shorts, and a halter top for a few days in my house (WHAT was I thinking!!! That life was normal for me? Riiiiight. Not then, or even yet, anyhow, but it will be) katie > > > > Hi Holly, > > > > I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work. Guest guest
Hi k, I am sure that I pick mites up from others at work. I can come to work mite free, but as soon as I stand near a particular individual, I feel bites and carry those mites for most of the working day thereafter. On the flip side, without being close to carriers of mites or affected areas, I don't feel them all day.. I have tested this many times. I think that some carry mites and don't know it, but others carry it and are affected (but try to hide it). - requireshelp From: kixx_rc <kixx_rc@...>bird mites Sent: Monday, March 16, 2009 10:47:49 PMSubject: Re: rs Requires... this is interesting to read.We try so hard to rid ourselves of this thing and when you get better, you pick it up from others that are unassuming? Guest guest
There is a co-worker that I noticed scratches herself alot. I only notice this b/c now I'm just so sensitive to ppl scratching. This can be noticed even when I'm in the back of the room and far away from her so it's def not me giving the bugs to her. When I view the 1000s at my church, I notice ppl scratching all the time... last Sunday, this person was repeatedly scratching his scalp during the hour... Are these attributable to mites? Maybe, maybe not... some might just have allergy or dry skin. But yeah, I wonder how many are carriers and are unaware. And I wonder how many are carriers AND are aware... that'd make them just like us... suffering but unable to share to others openly. > > > > Hi Holly, > > > > I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work. Guest guest
My mom seems to carry the mites also & doesn't feel it. I've actually seen them jump off her when she's been here. She never gets bit or feels them which worries me because my oldest son & gf share an apartment with her & he would get bit whenever he use to come. Why do some not feel them or get bit?
