Guest guest
In the encyclopedia pg. 578, Tumeric is not suggested for O's as a supplement, only for B & AB's. Yet, in LR4YT & encyclopedia pg. 549 it is listed as Beneficial/Neutral - Tier 2. - oh, as a herb ! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH IS CORRECT, PLEASE? This is getting confusing. Guest guest
As a spice, turmeric is (for O's): BENEFICIAL: Contains component which either blocks polyamine synthesis or lowers indican levels. Non-secretors: NEUTRAL (p. 549 of the Encyclopedia and TYPEbase) As a standardized supplement (95% curcuminoids), turmeric has anti-inflammatory effects. There are just better options for that purpose for O's (glucosamine, Tree, Ginger Root, and Cayenne pepper), so Dr. D didn't include us on the p. 578 list. Guest guest
, I remember that. I wonder about the Tree though since it is an avoid for O's (Yucca) a metabolic inhibitor. I have this question in to Heidi and hopefully will get an answer. Guest guest
Though turmeric is rated neutral for non-secs, LR says it is a powerful chemoprotective, especially for non-secretors, furthermore, turmeric is the basic element of all curries (rated benficial), I keep two different kinds of home-made curries and use them each day. I incorporated ginger and other, preferably beneficial elements. So I use turmeric regularly and trust it helps. Rose/Hun
