I read this with interest. I have boughts of what are either rosacea or hotflashes (post radical hysterectomy menopause) -- I honestly don't know if it's one or the other, or combination of the two > <<<Metrogel daily and for long term use > Westcort cream when a flare begins, short term use > Elcon cream for worse flares, short term use > Nizoral shampoo for each shampoo because I get the bumps in my scalp>> > The medications above -- are they Rx or OTC? I don't think I can afford anymore RXs, they're bleeding me dry, literally. > <<cea can effect the eyes and other areas. So don't let it go > untreated. A good derm doc is very important.>> What do you mean by " other areas " -- and if anyone in the Dallas area knows of a good dermatologist, PLEASE email me off-list. Please put something like " RISG Derm " in your subject line or I won't open it. I don't open emails from addresses I don't recognize. In the last year, I've developed VERY severe psoriasis. It started in my scalpline above my right eye and it's slowly progressed to the other side, but mostly, it's taken a route all over my forehead, into my eyebrows down the right sie of my face, in the hair at my right temple and my nose and chin. I honestly can't say that it itches, but it looks AWFUL -- like scales -- and they flake off like mad if I happen to scratch my head or face. My rheumatologist said that the ONLY thin that would help would be steroids. NO THANKS. Been there, done that, have the added weight to prove it. Does anyone know anything that will help? I clear fave and all affected areas every day with a moisturing soap and then follow up with Lubriderm, which my rheumy said was my only other option. The Lubriderm, of course, HIDES the problem, but in reality doesn't HELP the problem. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. My next visit with this rheumy whom I do not care for is March 2. Thanks to Priscilla for the above info and to any and everyone who answers. in North Texas Diagnosed 1987: HLA-B27+, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Reactive Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Reiter's, Raynaud's, Sjogren's, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis with Hypothyroidism, IBD/IBS, spastic colitis, allergies to wheat protein, egg protein, milk protein, fish/shellfish, peanuts, chocolate .... you name it, I've got it....but WHERE do I go to return it????
