Hi Kathy,

I just went to my eye dr today. Seems the ReA disease is causing the

inflamation in my eyes. They are red most of the time, dry and

irritated. But the worst part is the right one looks like there is a

vasaline smear across it.

I was put on Restasis to help get the inflamation under control and

lubricate my eyes, and Systane (an over the counter lubricant.)

I was told by the DR that the disease not the methotrexate is causing

this. The cells are free floating in my eyes and they irritate them by

pitting the cover of the cornea and eyes. He put dye in them and I saw

so much damage done in the 4 months I have had the disease. But he was

posititve tht he could work with the Drs and get these symptoms under

control. The bad news is, it could take at least 3 to 6 months, maybe

more. I have only had irritatin for about 2 to 3 weeks, and it was off

and on. I am so glad I went to my DR. He was so good at preparing me, I

feel good about it.

There might not be a cure, but I know so much more about my eyes that I

feel I can use in the future.

I only have one huge issue. I work at a computer and using papers, that

are full of expectations the and perfect typing. I am not doing my job

nd I don't know where this new disorder will take me. I am struggling

to do my regular duties and type new things.

An ideas? Please pass them my way, I am a newbie in town, and I have

only a few weeks under my belt. I might act like I can do it all, but

deep down I am scared and confused.

Thanks,

Kay
