Guest guest
- I live in Mokena, Illinois. Area code is 708. The doctor told me that there are studies where older people on a similar dose of thyroid medication are having a higher than normal incidence of atrial fibrilation. Just don't know how widespread his theory is, but can't imagine living another 20 or 30 years feeling lousy as I am now. Thank you for your help. Phyllis > Phyllis, > > I think your doctor is nuts! Guest guest
, While I mainly lurk on the list (still pretty new to BT), I appreciate this info you've been sending Phyllis on Thyroid, even though our problems aren't the same. Drs. have tested me for thyroid for years but I always come in (just barely) on the normal range so they decide my thyroid isn't the problem. My ND decided to go ahead & try me on a thyroid med about 4 weeks ago. I can't believe the difference I already feel! Thursday, I go back to my ND for a blood level to see if it's where he thinks would be best. As for driving distances to doctors, my ND is almost a 3 hour drive away from me. I'm not even sure there are others nearer but this one used to have a once a week day in this part of the state & I met him then (that was about 5 years ago). But he, too, does phone consults for the most part so I only make the drive a few times a year. So then I combine my doctor's trip with a fun day in a CITY. (I live in the boonies!) Anyway, thanks! Guest guest
Armour is available, I just got some in the UK. You can also order from the International Pharmacy. > > hi everyone, > I am just on the last of my very out-of-date armour. Guest guest
You CAN get Armour, where have you heard that you cannot - you can buy it from www.internationalpharmacy.com in several different grains or mgs. How much are you taking daily. You can also buy the Canadian licensed Erfa 'Thyroid' (better than Armour) from www.valuepharmaceuticals.com - they call it Armour, but it is actually the Erfa brand. This costs about £90 for 500 tablets. You can also buy Westhroid or Naturethroid, or you can buy Thyroid-s (generic Armour). Have a look in our Files section of this forum under 'Internet Pharmacies' Luv - Sheila hi everyone, I am just on the last of my very out-of-date armour. What is at the moment the best replacement to take (seeing we can't get armour) and where do we get it? I have tried to read up on this on the forum page but got rather lost.
