Guest guest
This concept has always fascinated me and I will definetly visit this group often to check up on the new happenings of such a phenomonen. I have yet to see and scientific literature which proves this diet to be valid, however, I have not searched this database yet which I intend to do. In the meantime for those who are interested in Fitness/Wellness/Nutrition I have created a Mailing list of my own go here: fitnessfirst/ Ontario, Canada
Guest guest
why would that make it discredited? Wouldnt it make it hypothetical and unknown? Lister was correct in his hypothesis but established science called him a fraud. Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. Some sources say the major factor in ageing is inflammation. Perhaps such profiles are rather individual. ________________________________ From: " hjooste@... Eating for your Blood Type My wife and I are both Blood Type B. Last night we read a good portion of the book Eating Right for Your Blood Type. We feel strongly that this book is true but is being surpressed by common lazy culture and medical field influencers. For me and my wife, it says Blood type B should avoid Chicken and Tomatoes, major staples of our current diet. No wonder common people want to avoid this book¹s teachings, it is hard to make such massive changes to ones diet, but we are willing if it is true. What do you KNOW about this book, is it true or speculative or a huge hidden gem and the answers to many health problems? Thanks for your serious input. Dale Dreher dale.dreher@... Guest guest
Personally, from studying the book so far, Eating Right for Your Blood Type, I am strongly convinced that this guy has the cure for many of America's health problems. But, like so many other truths in life, like Christianity for example, the truth is as good and provable as any other fad or manufactured solution but it is inconvenient for people who aren't motivated to change, or the truth is not profitable enough for the established leaders in the health industry, and so the controllers of information dupe the masses, particularly in a capitalistic society, and try to supress the truth it mostly due to laziness or greed. You either get what I am saying or you don't. And now, the blood type info is simply being repackaged, in a more profitable way, many manifistations of which are yet to be seen. One is the new Gluten Free buzz. There are many... Food intolerances and food alergies are clearly and easily explained by a person's blood type and their chosen diet. But then the medical wouldn't loose billions of dollars worth of unsold pills if they told us to simply make different food choices. The (discredited science) the author uses in Eating Right for Your blood Type is primarily observation, in some cases observation is better than some convoluted method of 'scientific method'. For me, I don't want to avoid Chicken and Tomatoes, those are very key staples for my wife and I, we are both blood type B. Starting today we are going to avoid these 2 items and see what happens. I'll get back to you with my own observations when I feel there are some worthy of reporting. I would love to hear any real and personal reports of anyone who has followed the Eat Right plan, did it make a difference for you? Have a great day. Guest guest
Even if there was something in it, I personally don't think its worth changing your entire diet based on nothing but a hunch or what some so called expert tells me to eat based on my blood antigens. Part of the diet is to fuel metabolism, and if there was a difference in metabolism based on blood type, it would be easy enough to verify in a study, except my instinct tells me that there will be no difference based on blood type alone. This whole concept was devised by a crank, or group of cranks, IMO. Eating for your Blood Type My wife and I are both Blood Type B. Guest guest
You might find this perception interesting - it is a 'thumbs down' review but explains why and in the telling highlights some very positive outcomes of this protocol. In my opinion, following this eating protocol will add to better health and a stonger immune system. Fron what I have seen, most peoeple find it easier to follow a set procedure then to do their own research and set up a procedure according to their health issues and research. All Thumbs Book Reviews Eat Right 4 Your Type By D'Adamo, MD. This is very informative. For example, it explains how IBS effects our abitilty to digetst some foods more others as well as how to correct/treat/cure IBS.And more including a problem many people have with stormach acid [HCL].. " Few people today, however, can boast fully functioning digestive systems. Two health problems that have undoubtedly contributed to the ability of food lectins to slip uninvited into the bloodstream are: widespread hydrochloric acid (HCl) and trypsin deficiencies, which make it difficult for people to properly digest protein, and " leaky gut " syndrome, a condition in which large undigested or partially digested protein molecules " leak " out of the GI tract and into the bloodstream, where they do not belong and where they are likely to provoke an immune system response. Dr. Atkins contends that the inability to properly digest protein contributes to asthma, diabetes, food allergies, osteoporosis, iron deficiency anemia, pernicious anemia, candida, rheumatoid arthritis, intestinal infections, psoriasis, vitiligo, hives, eczema, dermatitis, herpetiformis and acne.5 As might be expected, permeability of the intestinal lining correlates with numerous disorders, including food and environmental allergies; bowel problems such as IBS, Crohn's disease and celiac disease; inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis; dermatological diseases such as psoriasis, and many forms of cancer.9 Why are people so short of HCl? For the body to manufacture HCl, it needs ample supplies of protein and zinc, ingredients that are in short supply in the popular low protein/high carbohydrate vegetarian and near vegetarian diets so popular today. Low HCl levels lead people to eat less meat (because they have trouble digesting it), which, in turn, leads to still lower HCl production. Once this cycle is set in motion, declining health is inevitable.
