Guest guest
Hi +Dave, My general practitioner said I had " Heart Failure " . He did not say congestive. He said that he would change my diuretic " triamterene " which I have been on since 1980, and put me on " Spironolactone 25 mg " one pill every morning. He said patients with heart failure do better on Spironolactone than Triamterene. Since my med change, I have woken up every morning all puffy faced, puffy hands and swolen legs and feet that seem to just stay swolen and puffy. I have another week to go and then I see my gp again. If it gets too bad I will see him before. My gp also wanted me to have a blood test at the end of two weeks as I have to keep my eye on my potassium levels with the new drug. I am sure if I need to see the cardiologist before the fall he will recommend it. I had originally made the appoitment to have him deal with my headaches... and as usual he finds something that he thinks takes precedent over my headaches. He did send me for Xrays on my neck so I will get those results at my next appointment. ~~~Faye~~~ AS and fusing
