Guest guest
I had an interesting development the last few days. I had been tapering my prednisone from 30mg and down. I was at 15mg on Wednesday. I was feeling really good from 30 down to 20mg (additionally taking a 275mg naprozine at night). And I was increasing my sulfa from 1 x 500mg a day up to 4 x 500mg a day (I was at 3x by last Friday). I had decided to drop the nightly naprozine to experiment with if it was required. That said, this past Thurs/Friday/Sat I was in meltdown mode again. Couldn't get out of bed with the pain until about 3pm on Saturday. Ankles/knees/back were shot. My question is this: I find that the whole meds dosage thing is not applied very scientifically. It seems there are too many variables being changes to find out if something is working or not. I can't tell if the missing napro was the problem or the lower dosage prednisone? I went back up to 20mg predisone and started taking the napro again and today (sunday) I'm feeling pretty good again. I'm 5'10, 180lbs ... what sort of dosages are others taking (assuming you're taking similar drugs). Does it even make any sense to ask such a question? Any similiar experiences? (sorry for the med spelling mistakes, I think you get the point) Thx, Sandy
