Hi Everyone,

I've had ReA for sixteen years. I was diagnosed about six months after my first

inflammation (L5 chronic pain). I didn't go on treatment for nearly five years,

and managed the symptoms through NSAIDS as needed. After that I was succesfully

managed (with moderate to mild flares)?with 3G?Azulfidine.?The effeciveness of

this medication lessoned and I was eventually taken off and put on Enbrel in

2005. That worked GREAT for the first ten months and then I started having

horrible side effects. My MD said it was more likely the disease becoming immune

to the drug?rather than side effects of?Enbrel. They included, brain

fog,?pressure and pain in?head, fatigue, and numbness/tingling in face and

down?arms. I since gone off and on enbrel several times, but have had ?no long

term benefit and the same issues eventually arise. I am not on Cellcept, which

is ok, but still not making me feel back the way I was. I realize I may never

get back to the remission I once had, but I'm hoping to find the right

medication combo that will work. Any advice and shared experience would be much

appreciated.

PS: Forgot to mention, I also tried methotrexate. I caused my liver elevations

to jump high and offered no benefits to the arthritis.
