Uveitis (Iritis) - Plaquenil

Hi Tim

Connie gave you good advise on the care of Uveitis. She is our expert on the

subject. About ten years ago she told me about Plaquenil and my Rheumatologist

gives me the rx for it. I have not had a major flare in the last ten years, but

my eyes are dry and I do get other minor problems. It is worth a try for your

mom. I take 200mg at lunch and 200mg at dinner. Many of us are long term

veterans of Iritis, I had my first flare in 1975, and over the years have had

one or both eyes flare. Lost a lot of vision in my left eye.

Keep us posted on how your mom does. Get the best eye doctor you can get for

her and be sure to keep the eye dilated so the iris won't stick to the lens.

That happened to me.
