uveitis / other symptoms

bonnie, the only other major problem i have in chronic swelling and pain in the

right ankle. most days its not too bad and i can do anything i want, except

running. i often go hiking in hilly areas and dont suffer any effects from that

(usually). on the days the swelling and pain is more, i can still walk but with

a slight limp in the early going but once i stretch it out and get going, not

too bad.

sometimes i have some back pain but not too often. occasionally (rarely these

days, more often 10 years ago) a mouth ulcer, and i have minor skin irritation

in the groin area but i think this one is mostly due to high heat and humidity

in summer where i live.

in 15 years of being diagnosed with reiters syndrome, this is the extent of my

problems. i consider myself lucky so far... it could be much worse as we all

know.

Hey,

What else do you have? I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis last

year, 7 years after my first uveitis flare up. In 2004 I lost the

sight in my right eye. To make a long story short, I have since had

4 surguries on the eye: retinal detachment with schleral buckle and

gas bubble, caterac, yag, and ahmed glaucoma shunt implant. Recently

I have been going through some med changes and would like to know

what has worked or not worked for you. Currently I am on Humira

biweekly, predforte eye drops, and last month I switched from

methotrexate injections to leflunomide (arava).

Any input would definately be appreciated.
