... I join in the chorus of all of those who are SO glad you are home.

I have been so busy with my life that I haven't posted much lately... that

is until you became so ill. Then, I couldn't wait to get home from work

each day to check to see if there had been some news of YOU.

Today my eyes fill with tears once again... but this time with the JOY of

knowing that by the grace of God, you have made it! -- And Jamison has his

Momma back!

May God continue to keep you inthe palm of His hand.

Oh , you have no idea how many tears were cried and how many

prayers were said for you! It took my breath away to see your post

and I thank God for all He has done, and for the awesome care that

you were given by the doctors who worked so hard to keep you with us.

I thank God for YOU and Jamison, for the awesome strength, courage,

and resiliance you have both shown. I know you still have a long road

ahead to recovery, but know that our prayers have NOT stopped, and we

all love, worry, and care about you!

Cindee

PS - Tell your mom to email me!!!

I have been trying to get ahold of her!

Hey Gang,

Sorry that I have not been on here in a while. I survived our family

move in to our new home and I am currently getting over my most recent

surgery which was a total thyroidectomy.

I had the surgery this past Monday and since I was doing so well,

mainly I was so ready to go home, I was released the next day. The

doctor that did the surgery was amazed at the size of my thyroid and

goiter. He told me it was very large and when I half heartedly

snickered due to the pain I was in at the time, I whispered, that he

made it sound as though it was the size of a soft ball. He said that

basically it was and was amazed that I was not having more problems

breathing because it was a lot larger than originally thought.

I go back to see him tomorrow for my check up. The kids have thought

the drainage tube that I went home with still in my neck is really

neat. (I joked with my sister about how the gas companies were cut

throat and were sucking me dry- LOL)I guess to a kid it is but it is

more annoying than anything since I have to bath with it and so on and

lets don't forget to empty it and measure the drainage. However, I am

very hopeful and almost positive that it will be removed tomorrow

since I am barely draining any fluid now.

So far I have not noticed any improvement with any of my spondy

symptoms such as with the pain but that may come in time since

currently my body is trying to heal after having this major surgery.

For now the kids and my boyfriend are enjoying the peace and quiet

since currently I can't talk louder than a whisper-LOL.

I hope all is well with everyone and I will try to write more often.

Bless everyone.

Barbara

-Barbara, It sounds like you are doing pretty well.At least you don't

sound depressed today. Good for you choosing to have the surgery. Our

prayers will still be with you in recovery.I think your body will

take a while to catch up to the surgery, but you should get there. How

wonderful you will feel so much better.God bless. D. in OR
