Guest guest
Dear You have come to the right place. This group welcomes you with open arms. Most all of us have been in deep dark places with our illnesses and we know what it is like to want to crawl into a hole and give up. But by the grace of God's love we are still here and still making it thru each day. Some days are better than others. On bad days I just allow myself time to grieve and moan and complain and tell God that I need His help to make it. Then the bad days turn into so-so days and then those days turn into a few bright days. You will cycle thru many types of days and be amazed and joyed at good days. For the bads, I allow myself to just rest and reflect. God has answered many prayers for me in regards to pain relief, guidance for medical decisions, and the blessings new hope. Do you have any close girl friends to talk to? My hubby has no clue of what I go thru, so I depend on my girl friends, or just treat myself to a good cry while watching a " Chick Flick " like the movie " While You Were Sleeping " , or " Return to Me " . It gives me a couple hours to take my mind off the pain. Maybe others have movies to suggest or books. Also, I have many girl friends from my Ladies Bible study at church. And daily Bible reading keeps me grounded with God's love. Also, feel free to ask any medical questions. We share our experiences (we don't give medical advice), and learn from each other. There are some great old timers here who can tell you what to expect. I know what it is like to be young and sick. I became disabled at age 36 when I lost my health, my job, and my physical energy and looks. My 40's and 50's were a blurr. But now I am approaching 61 and see that God has more for me to do. I wish I had had this group when I was younger, I was isolated and no one knew what I was talking about. So please know that " You are not alone " !! Love and hugs Priscilla Tucson, AZ p.s. , what city are you in??
Guest guest
Thanks, Priscilla, and everyone else who responded to my message. I am so relieved to find people who understand what it's like to live with this disease. I live in Wyoming, where winter sometimes drags on and becomes rather annoying. I remember my mother telling me, when I was a child complaining about this, that if we didn't have winter, we wouldn't appreciate summer as much. I'll try to keep this in mind as I face the bad and good days ahead. From: Hagerty <hgrty777@...> Subject: Welcome --We Love You !!
