Guest guest
In the last couple of months, I went from looking relatively normal to suddenly (in the span of a couple of weeks) having INSANELY bad acne (not just on the surface, but huge connected leisions extending up my entire cheeks that are really painful and are inhibiting my ability to eat and smile) and my face being all swollen to the point where it looks like I've gained 10 or 20 pounds when I've actually lost about 5, and it's been getting worse since the onset in October. I went to a dermatologist and they ran a whole host of blood tests and everything came back normal except for one thing: a really elevated DHEA level. The dermatologist said this meant my body was producing too many steroids, and she referred me to an endocrinologist. However, endocrinology can't get me in until the end of March. Has anyone else had this problem? ~
