Hi Ken, wow, I'd almost forgotten it was posted on the site.

I've been feeling okay. Every now and the my reiter's will show up. Few akes and

some ... What I think is psoriasis on my left wrist comes and then fades in a

few days.

Thinking about that article, I remember in those days the doctors said I'd

better plan on being in pain the rest of my life! That even contributed to my

choice of property I bought. Nothing fancy, I just needed a place to be sick.

Well, as most of you know I've been in remission for the last thirty years.

Thank you God!

But it's still in the back of my mind, even when it's not misbehaving. Stil to

this day I conceder it when making dicisions. Always there!

All in all I certainly can't complain. I've been very lucky!

And ... there's something to be said for getting my house paid off sooner then

most!

Thanks for asking. Hope you and yours are doing well too.

God Bless

Rick

Hi Rick,

Congratulations on your success managing the disease.

Can you share how you achieved remission? Also, is there a place on the site

where stories of how people achieved remission is available for everyone's

benefit? I would love to read and find out how others have achieved remission

and success in taming the disease.

Thanks in advance,

Mr O in IL

Hi Mr. O

I don't believe it's anything I've done. In fact I don't take very good care of

myself at all. From all the stories I've heard in this group over the years I've

come to believe that current medical science can only treat our symptoms. If we

achieve remission it's because our bodies are made up in a way that simply

didn't respond or was able to respond to the trigger. In other words, it's what

we are, not what we do. But, I'm not a doctor and no one really knows.

As far as where we can talk about it, right here. We don't want anyone trying to

sell their products but as long as they follow the other rules, this is the

place!

Feel free!

God bless.

No, no drugs for anything to do with reiter's syndrome. I'm on some for blood

pressure and cholesterol but that's it, and those I didn't start until a few

years ago.

I only had the original flare that lasted about eleven months. There were a few

months that it was all I could do to get out of bed. It was many years ago but I

remember at the age of 24 just taking a shower was exhausting!

Since then it's just been a few flares. Mostly iritis for the most part. But

even that has kind of burnt it self out.

God Bless.
