Guest guest
Hi Craig Loved your great expression of faith. Most of us do struggle with the " why " of it all. But I have after almost half my life with these diseases come to see that the answer is that God is in control and He is watching out for us. I know many healthy people who are miserable. So it is not about health. It is always about our response to what life gives us. Being healthy does not make me a better person. And if people judge us based on our health, then they are not our friends. This " Foreign Country " of illness means we speak with an accent, duh! We talk about our doctor visits and our medications and our aches and pains and limitations. Most people don't want to hear about that. But there comes along that rare person who does care about us and does listen to us. We feel cherished when someone is kind to us. At church I find these sweet people and it makes we realize that I can be happy even though I hurt all over. When I get to heaven the pain stops at the gate. I too read the Bible, especially the Psalms. Lots of emotion there. Also other books by Joni Eareckson Tada. Good to hear you like writing. We need to start some threads here about the good things we are doing creatively or any positive experiences. I love my volunteer work at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. I do mentoring of the single moms. Also sewing and card making. Hope everyone can join us in what helps. Tell us about your hobbies. And as always we are here to hear your hurts.
