Guest guest
Hi Do you have a " Handicap " parking sticker?? I have one on my car and one I carry in my purse to hang on any car I am in. You can have your doctor give you a written statement that you are handicapped and need to sit, etc, have him state your limitations. It should not be by disease so much and by limitations. If you can't walk or stand too long then you need the handicap spaces. Unfortunately most of us do not look handicapped. But people with other conditions also don't look handicapped either. So any written proof will help. I have had people give me funny looks when they see me in a handicap parking space. Even had people say things to me, like " You are not handicapped " . Then I just say to them " Well you must be a doctor!! " or " Does that mean I can stop taking my 15 medications? " A little humor helps. A few years back we had a big dialogue on this. Just be prepared for future encounters and have something in writing. Sorry you had to go thru that. God Bless Priscilla
