Since for most of us, the flare ups are triggered by getting sick (infections,

etc) what are your tips for staying healthy?

Here's what I do:

1) Carry hand sanitizer and wash hands often

2) I take alot of supplements especially Vitamin D which helps for inflammation

and maintains immune system

3) Probiatic Yogurt almost everyday to make sure digestive track is protected

4) I carry zinc lozenges with me and take it at the first sign of a cold

5) I drink echinacea tea at the first sign of a cold plus drink a lot of green

tea

6) Get as much exercise and sleep

7) I swear by the benefits of apple cider for stomach bugs and sore throats (do

the research)

8) Meditation. Since I can't work out like I used to at the moment, I meditate

and pray.

9) Support. I have a great support system and also talk to my counselor for

help.

10) Make sure you keep other parts of your system healthy (for me i have

controlled my hypertension and bad allergies) even though I have joint pain.

I've been depressed, and I resent this disease but my wife told me that my

condition is a part of me.

Maybe you have tips you can share to protect yourself from another flare.
