Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone knows of a reputable company that I can work for from my home. In addition to my fibro I have a fear of working outside the home. So I've had a hard time keeping my jobs. It may sound silly but it is a serious problem for me. I want to do something from home. Plzzzzzzzzzz if anyone has info or knows of a job or company plzzzz let me know. Thanks a million!!!!
Guest guest
I do some freelance writing. In effect, it's my very own small business. You could also do typing, medical coding, etc., if you have or can develop the skills. If you have a college/university near you, try posting flyers for a typing service for resumes, theses, etc. These are just a couple of ideas that work. It's still a lot of work. The advantage of doing this as a small business is that you can work when you are able and control how much you do and when. It's not silly to be afraid working outside of your home. It sounds more like you might have a form of agoraphobia. I hope you have discussed this with a competent psychiatrist, since it is treatable and treatment might allow you to work more comfortably at a conventional job. Guest guest
Jacquie, here is the American Academy of Professional Coders web site. You can post your resume here to find a job. There is probably some place for comments or something where you can specify that you want to work at home. http://www.aapc.com/education/medical-coding-career.aspx Pam Re: Re: ? Guest guest
I don't have any specific information about medical coding, but I would check with large institutions and also online to see what you can find. The links that were provided here yesterday were good starters. I bid on a writing job at one. Barbara > > > > I do some freelance writing. In effect, it's my very own small > > business. Guest guest
TY Pam I am currently researching the internet now, see my appendix ruptured a few weeks ago and I was 2 days away from my 90 day on my new job and they let me go because I won't be able to work until June, and I am getting very frustrating with these jobs that I get, oh yeah don't get me wrong I actually enjoyed my job as it was in the Healthcare field which I have 15+ yrs experience in, but it seems that every time I get sick I get fired!!! My last job a few years ago did the samething to me, I had worked there for 10 months and when I was 2 months shy of 1 yr., and FMLA (family medical leave of absence) they fired me!!! Needless to say I took them to fair labor board and I won although it wasn't enough as far as I was concerned considering that by the time they settled out of court I was clear into another year of unemployment.
