I think the alternating wrist discussion was about comfort level. Sometimes users will feel itchy or get a rash on the electrode site. If your skin becomes irritated where the electrodes touch then maybe you're applying too much current (and also apply vitamin E oil afterwards to skin). Below are links to the Jaguar site where there are pictures of electrode placement on wrists and ankles. http://www.ioa.com/~dragonfly/hand.html http://www.ioa.com/~dragonfly/feet.html starting maximum maximum daily daily total freq usage usage usage ------ ------ ------ ------ 1/4 hz 10 min 40 min 30 hrs 4 hz 15 min 2 hrs 90 hrs 100 hz 20 min 3 hrs 120 hrs Dotsie
Guest guest
Thanks for the info. Some research sessions I am familiar with (@4Hz) have lasted as much as 12 hours with only marginal redness noted. This is largely due to the pressure applied by the electrodes from the strap used and some questions about the degree of moisture present on the sleeves. The amount of current applied is only sufficient enough to be associated with a light tingling feeling in the local area. As such, a definitive need to alternate locations has not yet been noted. YMMV. Guest guest
The reason for alteranting wrists with a device that is on DC is that the current always going in the same direction can pile up metallic ions around one electrode. Reversing the 'trodes alleviates the condition. ciao
Guest guest
I use Hulda 's zapper. Would I switch wrists in the breaks during zapping? Guest guest
Why is there a maximum total usage? I was not aware of this. Thanks, << > > starting maximum maximum > daily daily total > freq usage usage usage >------ ------ ------ ------ >1/4 hz 10 min 40 min 30 hrs > 4 hz 15 min 2 hrs 90 hrs >100 hz 20 min 3 hrs 120 hrs >>

The chart was only an example of what is needed to see results with a particular frequency. Beck and others claim 90 hours is needed - anything else is maintenance, IMO.
