Guest guest
I just wanted to add to this how important, vitally important, getting rest is--I know, because I suffer with a sleep disorder as well (though lately, thanks to a malfunctioning thyroid of all things LOL, I'm getting a ton of sleep! LOL). The difference in my primary dxes is incredible when I'm well-rested...and I am so much better able to *be there* for my children in a real way...I'm level-headed, calmer, cooler, better able to *manage* their disorders. So please, head 's wise words--rest however and whenever you can! Let the dust bunnies multiply---or send them to my house--they'll be in great company! LOL... Guest guest
Here is a little article I found today on news! You owe it yourself to avoid sleep deprivation. According to brain research scientist, Medina: "Loss of sleep hurts attention, working memory, mood, quantitative skills, logical reasoning, and even motor dexterity. " In his book Brain Rules, Medina highlighted a NASA study that showed a 26-minute nap improved a pilot's performance by 34%. Sleep on it. My lawyer is using my "Chronic Insomnia" as one of my diagnosis towards my disability. Because of pain from my back and Fibro I am unable to get more than 2 1/2 hours of sleep even with sleep meds. I have taken pills that they have told me will knock out a 400 lb man. And yet get no sleep. For the amount that I would need to take to work would cause my breathing to slow and my respiration and heart would be too labored. Sleep meds reverse on me and wire me with anxiety and keep me awake. Sweet~Dream's All.. ZZzzZZzzzzZZzz....... Hug's GenaNo virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Gena, Just last night, I took all my bedtime meds, but they did not work. I figured I would be tired because I had been to seee my Dr.(NP) yesterday, and that usally wipes me out. I would doze for about an hour and stay up for 3 hrs. Doze and nap, and dream each time. I finally said forget it and I just stayed up! I had an appt. with my therapist today and talked over an hour. I am so glad I have Medicare, or I would not get the help I need and she is the only one in that group that will take my insurance. I am slepy now, but may not go to sleep tonight either. I just never know. I am as my Dr. said a Chronic Insomniac!!!! And she will continue to give me my sleep meds and if I need a change, she will give me whatever I ask for, or what she thinks is best. I hope all of you get some ZZZZZZZ'z tonight, with our itchy skin and restless legs and constant fatigue, etc. & chronic pain. you should read the quarterly Pain Community newsletter I just got the other day. I will get the website for you, if you are interested. It is really worth reading. Goodnight Ladies, sweet dreams. T. from TN.**************Get fantasy football with free live scoring.
