Guest guest
Consuming soy (soy milk, smoothies, tofu, etc.) causes more pain for some fibromites - http://www.fms-help.com/tips.htm Years ago I switched to Rice Dream Original Rice Milk (Wal-Mart $1.78 per quart in the cereal aisle). I only use it only for cereal or making an immune shake. I like the taste of this brand of rice milk a lot better than soy milk. > > Sounds like what I already do > no fast foods, nothing from bakery or deli, no Trans fats, no > carbonated beverages, low fat. Guest guest
Just from my personal experience in the past two different eating programs worked well for me. 1. Eat Right for Your Type- it is a book on your blood type. Whem I read about me and what would work for me I found it accurate and helpful. My husband is a differet blood type and it was also accurate for him. Though difficult to manage two different ways of eating, we always manage. 2. The other eating program that really worked for me both mentally and physically was the program of just 3 meals a day, no snacks. It was very hard for the first 3 or 4 days to make it to the next meal but after that it was great, (I would have a glass of milkor V8 to get through). In addition we cut out white sugar completely. We found if we ate enough protien at a meal lasting to the next meal. Now, I know that is not necessarily what others say but without sugar and a few weeks of not javiing what felt like the food controllling me, I never felt better in my life. Itdid mean though i passed on birthday cake ande verything- it was a huge change. But my extra weight melted right off (40 pounds in 2 months) Without sugar in our diet we never felt better both emotionally and physically. Reading the labels of food was big eye opener there is sugar in almost everything. My husband and i are working towards that life style again, hoping it will help the current fibro illness I am experiencing. It takes awhile to completely change over but I had a friend who was type 2 diabetes and after the slow process of working down to 3 meals a day and NO SUGAR what so ever- she was no longer a diabetic... I SWEAR that is true. I have lots of literature and information in this area as I have a certificate in natural healing. I am also going back to that way of eating and I am praying it will help my pain and suffering, that I will keep you posted on! > > > > Sounds like what I already do > > no fast foods, nothing from bakery or deli, no Trans fats, no > > carbonated beverages, low fat. Guest guest
I'd love a recipe exchange! Especially if anyone knows good gluten free recipes that don't use potato flour. Your diets sound like mine. I had the greatest results from eliminating sugar, gluten and caffeine. I eat like a monk (with occasional breaks for chocolate) but I have far less muscle pain than I did before. The " anti-inflammatory " diet that's out there now ( Weil has a good one) also improved my health: eliminate " bad " fats, use olive oil, eat more vegetables, no processed foods or fatty meats, no fast food... > > Sounds like what I already do > no fast foods, nothing from bakery or deli, no Trans fats, no > carbonated beverages, low fat. Guest guest
I'm O positive also. This is very interesting. I think I'll buy the eat right for your type book, and follow that diet for a while and see if it doesn't help. Also, On aspartame and MSG, I think both are very bad for you, and do notice I feel worse when I consume them. Right now I've cut dairy and red meat out of my diet. I've been doing this for a few days now. I will let everyone know. I also want to cut down sugar... which is SO hard for me, and wheat, although wheat seems to be in EVERYTHING!.... that's going to be a hard one. Also soy. I've already cut that out, although traces of soy is also in everything!.... Agh, I hate not knowing what's hurting me!!! Thanks for listening Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
- I am a AB+ type. I too have read the book for types. It worked well for my husband but, I have IBS and mine did not account for that. Leah T. -- In dominie , pauline <foggynanny@...> wrote: > > Exercise your brain!
