Guest guest
Hi all I wanted to share my experience with everyone. This spring I went down to Mayo ville. I was sent to a urologist and had my testicles ultrasounded (I have to have this done yearly because I have epididymal cysts, hydroceles and varicocele). The urol told me they were going to put me on long term IV antibiotics. He said they " re going to knock it out of me. Even the kid that did the ultra sound asked if I tried antibiotics. The urol said I would be given them from rheumatology. I showed them the pos knee biopsy I had done at University of South Florida. So I called the rhuemy and he said it was an option. Then I went to neurology. I needed another dr to recommend antibiotics. I was starting to press the dr for antibiotics. He said to me " not all infections cause burning and tingling " . I looked at that ass and knew right away that some infections do cause burning and tingling. So they sent me to infectious disease. I won't tell you what I think of dr Alveriez. But he said I had enough antibiotics to kill the chlamydia. Thing is I did more antibiotics from the time I got infected to when I tested pos for chlamydia trachomatis than after the test. Anyway the rheumy gave me floxin 400 everyday and zithromax 500 mon and thurs. I can't say that I feel better but I do feel that I am better. It just feels like the tingling and burning just keep getting deeper and deeper. I also was seeing a chiropractor and after a couple months I was starting to hold my adjustments better. By no stretch of the imagination was I feeling better. Then one morning I woke up and had something " pop " in my chest. I could feel the tingling and burning run down my arms and legs. I went to the chiro a day later and he asked me " what happened " . I was so bent out of shape. Anyway I came home to WI and saw my primary care dr. I showed her the pos test for chlamydia and she asked me " how long did they say you have to take antibiotics......life? " So I'm left wondering how one dr says I had enough and one asks me if I have to take them for life. Good luck to Rick and your new wife.
