SENSITIVITY TO THE ENVIRONMENT

1. Avoid Flourescent lights when indoors

2.wear sunglasses or tinted lenses when outdoors

3.avoid contacts lenses if you work in a dry enivronment like a

hospitial

4. avoid smoky enivironments.

DRY EYES

1.use artifical tears to keep trhe eye moist

2.use prescription eye " inserts " that slowly dissolve & release

artifical tears.

3.the tear ducts can be pluggd (called punctal plugs) to keep natural

tears around longer.

4.review medicatiions & changes those that cause mucus-drying effects

( if you can)

5.use a humidifier during the winter & in dry areas.

6.before a eye test, ensure that your eyes are well moistured; the

amount of moisture over the tear film & lense affects light

reflection and thus visual perception.

EYE PAIN/STRAIN

1.gentle eye exercises can help stretch eye muscle trigger points;

loko up, lok down, look right & left, close yur eyes tight, hold them

wide open, gently masage the eye ball

2.stay focused on one thing at a time to avoid getting over whelmed

3.wear the correcty glasses to avoid eye strain.

4.put clear plastic over a page to devrease print contrast

5.ensure adequate lighting when reading

6 avoid eye fatigue.

Also for ladies Change yur Mascara every 6 months or c sooner every

3 if you use it ofetn to avoid eye infections.
