Guest guest
Can the dentist administer nitrous oxide (gas)? I have to have that for any dental work now, thanks to dental phobia from being drilled on without novocaine for fillings in childhood. Also, the doc can use a numbing gel before giving the shot. I still feel it, but with nitrous, you just " don't care. " It makes you feel kind of " floaty " or something. My mother can't handle nitrous, but it is the only way I can have dental work done. Ask your doc about taking Aleve first, because it might thin the blood or something....I'm not a doc, just guessing - also maybe something like ativan for anxiety? - Dom
